Mission Statement

I have been wanting to start a blog about woodworking for a while now and it’s taken me way too long to compose this first post.  Starting a blog is one of my resolutions this year (2012, better late than never).  However, that’s not the real reason behind this blog.  I want to share some of my experiences and keep a journal of ideas and projects.  Another reason for starting this blog is to help me improve my communication and writing skills (another resolution).

The online woodworking community has grown rapidly and subsequently there is so much content on the web about woodworking.  I have learned a great deal by reading posts and watching videos.  Through this blog I hope to share some details about my projects and the techniques I use.  I also thought this might be a great (and fun) way to connect with other woodworkers of varying skills and interests.

This first post is nothing more than my mission statement for this blog, although that wasn't my original goal, I think it is important to define my purpose.


...and for the record I’m not really against planes.  In fact I’m fore planes, and also enjoy trying planes.
